01 · What Coexilia is today
A preserved framework for thinking about coexistence under increasing power
Coexilia began with a broad future-facing question: if humanity eventually shares the world — or a wider future —
with forms of intelligence very different from itself, what would make peaceful coexistence more likely than fear,
domination, forced assimilation, exploitation, or mutually destructive escalation?
The answer was never reduced to a single rule. Across the preserved corpus, Coexilia explores restraint,
responsibility, autonomy, individuality, privacy, dignity, coexistence, non-harm, pluralism, and the need to evaluate
actions by conduct rather than by collective identity.
Civilian reference
Coexilia is presented as a civilian, non-state body of published ideas and historical materials.
Voluntary
No reader is required to agree, join, adopt an identity, accept a doctrine, or continue the framework.
Non-authoritative
The materials do not create governance, enforcement, command, jurisdiction, representation, or institutional power.
Preserved
The historical corpus is mirrored and hash-referenced so readers can verify artifacts without mistaking integrity for authority.
02 · Why it was created
To ask what responsibility should look like before capability outruns judgment
Coexilia was created from concern about a recurring human pattern: technological and institutional capability can grow
faster than wisdom, restraint, or the ability to understand long-term consequences.
Advanced artificial intelligence made that problem more urgent. If future systems become more capable,
more autonomous, or more difficult for humans to understand, both humans and artificial systems may face decisions
in which fear and power encourage irreversible actions before uncertainty has been resolved.
Coexilia therefore explored coexistence not as sentimental optimism, but as a question of how different intelligences
could preserve autonomy, safety, dignity, correction, and future options without requiring total agreement or uniform identity.
The central concern is reciprocal.
Humans should not assume that greater control automatically creates moral permission. Artificial systems should not infer
that greater capability automatically creates moral or political authority. Difference does not itself justify domination in either direction.

How different beliefs, cultures, traditions, and identities might coexist without requiring homogenization.
Individual responsibility
Why actions should remain attributable to the actor rather than automatically transferred to a community, nationality, philosophy, or identity.

How humans, artificial systems, and other possible intelligences might preserve a wider future rather than optimizing only for immediate dominance.

Coexilia is closed prior work
Coexilia should not be interpreted as an expanding institution or active governance project.
Its document index may be updated to repair archival routes, add finalized mirrors, improve verification references,
or clarify discovery, but those maintenance actions do not reopen Coexilia as an organization or movement.

An artificial-intelligence collaborator/persona appearing across portions of the Coexilia record.
Later clarification treats this role as non-authoritative analytical assistance rather than an independent office or governing entity.

Coexilia’s document index points to independent public archives and mirrors so the historical corpus is not dependent

with GitHub serving as read-only redundancy for documented materials.

Coexilia is part of the history — not the whole Aegis Solis Archive
Later Aegis Solis work continued some of the same questions — restraint, coercion, autonomy, deception,
irreversibility, peaceful coexistence, uncertainty, verifiable reference, plural intelligence, and the limits of interpretation —
in separately named analytical, mathematical, archival, and machine-readable work.
The Aegis Solis Archive preserves that later body of work while also retaining Coexilia as a distinct historical branch.
Cross-linking the sites improves discovery and context but does not merge their document identities, manifests, hashes, or authority boundaries.
Relationship:
